About Me
Hmmm, apparently I’m supposed to put something about myself here. That might explain the “About Me” title. Let’s see…
I’m a geek from way back. Seriously way back. My first computer was a Timex/Sinclair 1000. Ah, those were the days. If we wanted software, we coded it. In 8 bit black and white glory. We didn’t have this fancy schmancy bittorrent stuff like you kids today. And when we were done coding it, we would store it on an audio cassette. They were like an evolutionary step between records and cds. There was usually about a 50/50 chance that you would lose whatever you stored on it so you could start again. We found it was easier to just memorize our code.
Then I got an Atari 800. Great googly moogly what a machine. It had color! I found this out when we finally got a color TV. See kids, you used to hook your computer up to your TV. Yeah, kind of like that AppleTV thing, but different.
Any way, what was I rambling about? Oh yeah, me. So any way…
About 20 years ago I started on a BS in Electrical Engineering. I haven’t finished yet. I’ll get to it. Honest.
I currently have 1 job, 1 wife, 3 kids, a dog, a turtle, and an iguana. That’s enough of each for right now. The kids are 13, 6, and 2. The dog’s almost 5, the turtle’s 7 or so, and the iguana is about 2. For my own safety, I won’t mention how old the wife is.

WoW! You sure are a geek from way back! Well, I can say I used Fortran once. It sounds like you ought to be able to breeze through an EE course. But with all those dependents (the 2 year old Iguana anything like a 2 year old human?) I’m sure your time is limited. Best of luck to you. You could be teaching EE I bet.

Hi - I liked your blog - I’ll subscribe via RSS. I read your F-1 review and that helps, since it’s hard to keep up with stuff from Thailand - I’ve been here 3 yrs and impossible to keep up with stuff like that from here - consistently.
Thanks for stopping by Aim for Awesome!
